My first trip to Scandinavia was in the summer 1994, and since then I was taken by its beauty. Even more often I try to visit this part of Europe.
Here are a few pictures of this trip through Norway and Sweden 1994. We went all the way to the North Cape, and we had nice weather almost all the time.
I took the next best opportunity to visit my friend Carsten in Umeå. And last but not least, we went on a very nice skiing trip in northern Sweden, close to Hemavan.
March 2005 was the next time I went to Sweden. This time it was a round trip through the country, were I visited even more friends. The highlight was again a skiing trip close to Sweden's highest mountain "Kebnekaise".
One of the most beautiful things you can see there, especially in the winter time, is the aurora borealis, which covers the sky with wild colours and shapes. Even though I didn't take these pictures myself, they should give a small impression about it.
